Beastie Boys

After the opening night instrumental show, Beastie Boys performed the first night at Sonar, on June 15th, with their regular show.

A much more crowded audience attended, as the night was part of the Sonar abono, and everybody was happy enough to listen to the band classics. In my personal opinion this second Beastie gig was less interesting than the first show, Adam Horowitz looked to have a cold and the overall stage performance suffered a bit.

Closing song, and I guess a lot of people showed up just for this, was Sabotage, with a warm dedication to George W. Bush (the finger was shown as a sign of respect to the President). Money Mark took the occasion to stage dive his own hardware desk resulting in a total mess of cables.

The following photos have been taken with a Canon EOS 30D, using a 50mm 1.8 Canon lens. The full photo set is available on Flickr as a slideshow.
