Colony Collapse Disorder: How bees society applies to digital Social Networking

There's a lot of talking of something happening lately with bees. A worldwide phenomenon is going on, a lot of bees are dying and scientists have no clue of what's going on. Many causes are under investigation, ranging unknown from viruses to a mix of diseases hitting undermined bees immune system. For some people it's a signal of the upcoming apocalypse; those people are always around, you know.

Stressed bees are more weak and open to viruses

One of the theory is that bees are dying because of a prolonged stress as a result of continue moving them from one place to the other (the pollination business is huge and beekeepers move them on demand receiving a fee from farmers) is weakening these insects immune systems, making them more stressed and then more open to virus spread.

Colony Collapse Disorder: bees are highly socially structured animals, just as humans

If you go back to your secondary education years, you know that bees are highly socially structured animals. They have a well organized society, roles and skills oriented social classes are defined so to create what you might say looks very much as a nation or a social organization having as a goal the feeding of the queen. Collateral effects are the production of honey and, in fact, the development of what looks like an economy driven society, for the bees themselves that is (not just for the humans).

What's the best navigation structure? A Flash click through slideshow. Elementary, My Dear Watson!

It looks like the critics met the audience in awarding the Best Navigation/Structure Webby Award to IKEA, Dream Kitchen.

Flash revenge!

It's the revenge of Flash, and of all the silly humor you had on viewing your friends summer vacation slideshow. Well, this has interaction in it, like click and skip to next photo. Doh! (Just to be sure, I'm being sarcastic on this...)
