Looks like there's somebody who had the chance to read the new Charlie Kaufman's screenplay, we are talking about mr. Jay A. Fernandez who give us some hints on the topic on the Los Angeles Times.

The screenplay's title (definitive?) is Synecdoche, New York. and seems focused on a theater director who thinks he's dying and how this thing modify his relationship with his life. Since Spike Jonze is on location in Melbourne, Australia for Where the Wild Things Are, it looks like the movie from Kaufman's screenplay will be directed by Kaufman himslef.
